Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically acclaimed performances of naive and charming characters. Adams was born to a U.S. Army officer in Italy and then grew up in Castle Rock Colorado. At the beginning of 1990, she started acting and dancing professionally at Colorado's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. Then she was in Minnesota, at a local theatre, she was a selected to play a role in a mock film documentary on beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Following her successful screen debut with the role of an unfriendly, but obnoxious contestant, Janet relocated from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began professional acting. She was the wife of the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was she was the mom of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered through actor Norma Shearer Leigh signed a contract with MGM to launch her career as a film actor in the latter half of the 40s. Over the course of the 1960s, Leigh starred in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho as well as Living It Up.
