I worked for months, working 12- hour days sanding floors and tearing down wallpaper with one baby strapped to my back, and others crawling in the playpen. Ha! I rented a booth on the local market, and even sold some items there. In the end, I had numerous pieces that I did not think of a solution and my storage space was a mess. My home was where I began hosting open houses, where over 1000 guests could visit and buy any item they wanted on the first floor within a single weekend. Growing Days is the result of all this. A majority of them were people who visited my home at my open house for furniture. I began to take on clients at a time working at my own pace however it wasn't long before I had several accounts, and I was operating an entire home improvement business. It is likely that I would have been laughing if someone had told me the business was going to be part of a forthcoming tv program on DIY Network. Actually, I smile a little when I remember it.
